Sustainable Development

The agreement

In March 25th, 2009: signature of a progress agreement from the pharmaceutical Industry sector.

Pharmaceutical companies (LEEM), the Ministry of Ecology, Energy and  Sustainable development, the Ministry of Health, Youth and Sports and the Clubs and societies signed together a progress agreement.

This agreement, which is valid for a duration of three years, lies on the following five collective programs:

  1. Reduce in a voluntarist way greenhouse gas emissions of the sector, in transport particularly, as well as energy consumption,

  2. Associate the employees of the sector with good environmental practices to facilitate a culture of sustainable development,

  3. Hold a dialogue with the stakeholders in order to develop transparency and exchanges on the impacts of the environmental policies within the sector,

  4. Encourage actions of eco-responsibility in promotion and communication,

  5. Develop for the sector environmental  public-private action plans.
