History, from 1953 to 1978
> 1953:
creation of Biocodex to produce and distribute the yeast "Saccharomyces boulardii" (ULTRA-LEVURE®) in France.
> 1960:
first exports.
> 1961:
development of a new production method, namely the lyophilization and encapsulation of "Saccharomyces boulardii" (ULTRA-LEVURE®).
> 1966:
construction of a plant at Beauvais, specializing exclusively in biosynthesis of the yeast "Saccharomyces boulardii", bringing together all stages of production and packaging, in order to maintain the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality and safety.
> 1968:
development and launch of OTIPAX®, analgesic and anti-inflammatory ear solution.
> 1974:
new head office at Montrouge and creation of an International Department to cope with the strong growth in exports and the domestic market.
> 1978:
launch of STIMOL®, antiasthenic.
